Hans Udo Wenzel

PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich. He began his career at Hoechst AG before founding Azelis, now one of Euro­pe’s leading chemical distributors, where he served as CEO until 2010 and Chairman until 2015. A pioneer of M&A-driven growth, he played a central role in the founding of Nactarome, founded Deimos Group, an SIDG company distributing Life Science ingredients and intermediates, and is currently the Chairman of SIDG.

Chief Executive Officer

Hervé Ory-Lavollée

Hervé Ory-Lavollée took over the leadership of Groupe Lavollée, now SIDG France, in 1983, at only 23 years old, following the passing of his father, the founder of the group. The past 43 years have been an exciting journey, full of transformation. One of the major challenges was to launch a business in the Life Sciences sector — a successful bet, as more than 80% of SIDG’s current revenue now comes from this area.

Edgar Claudio Wenzel

Holds a Global Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi and the Rotman School of Mana­gement, a degree in Business Administra­tion & Accounting, and a Master’s in International Bu­siness from KIMEP University (Almaty). He started at Inalchim as Business Development Manager Food and now serves as Chief Operating Officer of SIDG and is a Board member of Deimos Group.

Chief Marketing Officer

Axelle Lavollée

Axelle Ory-Lavollée joined SIDG nine years ago, representing the third generation of the Ory-Lavollée family to be involved in the business. She was entrusted with the creation and development of the Outsourcing Department of SIDG France, which she built and structured entirely. A business school graduate with a Master’s degree in Management, her background is rooted in sales and business development. With a strong focus on customer needs, she has contributed to the Group’s growth by offering flexible, tailor-made solutions that strengthen long-term partnerships.

Chief Financial Officer

Emmanuel Gérard

For over 25 years, Emmanuel Gérard has supported the growth of the Lavollée Group, now SIDG France, as Chief Financial Officer. Present since the company’s early days, he has played a key role in its development, leading several merger and acquisition projects and structuring the finance function alongside his team of three. Today, drawing on this extensive experience, he is taking on new responsibilities as CFO of the entire SIDG Group.
